Older adults will Strengthen and tone muscles while improving flexibility at E Joy’s exercise and fitness program.  Partnering with the Town of North Hempstead – Project Independence, these classes provide light cardio to increase endurance and burn calories.  Catering to ages 60 and up, the fitness and tai chi classes will help older adults improve independence and meet functional goals. Older adults will enjoy increased upper and lower body strength, balance, flexibility and coordination. These classes are fun, safe and an effective way to improve overall physical and mental health.   On social Wednesday s’ older adults participate in recreational activities of their choice, while laughing and socializing with their peers. Workshops are also provided addressing relevant topics of concern.
